Ahsan Hanif was born and raised in Birmingham, UK. In 2001 he gained a scholarship to the Islamic university of Madinah where he studied for 6 years. There he completed his diploma in Arabic and then went on further to graduate from the Faculty of Shariah in 2006. He was very fortunate to study under a number of scholars including Sheikh Abdul Muhsin Abbad and Sheikh Muhammad Mukhtar al-Shinqiti. He is currently an Imam at Green Lane masjid where he delivers regular khutbahs and lectures. He also memorised the Quran by the age of 13 and has led the Tarawih prayers during the blessed month of Ramadhan. He has recently completed his PHd in Islamic Studies from Birmingham University.
